Nutrition Consultation

Are you ready to take the path to better health?

You may be looking for sustainable weight loss, fertility advice, improved digestion, clearer skin, balanced hormones, or you may be wishing to address a specific health issue, such as IBS, PCOS, high cholesterol, or you may simply desire more energy and vitality and to learn about optimum nutrition.

Nutritional therapy can effectively address underlying imbalances in the bodily systems, rather than simply suppressing symptoms.

Nutritional therapy works to enhance the biochemical processes of the body to help it function more efficiently.

Jo works to inspire her clients to a place of better health by finding their own balance. She does not follow a particular nutrition concept, such as raw or vegan, but works with the client to find out what’s best for them.

About the consultation

The first appointment lasts up to 60 minutes for face-to-face sessions at Jo’s clinic in Brighton & Hove, UK.

You’ll be emailed a nutrition questionnaire and 3 day food diary that Jo will use to gather a detailed case history from you. Please email them back before your appointment, or bring them with you.

We will discuss your health concerns and priorities during your session and we’ll agree on a treatment plan to put into place. Jo will then email you a written health plan after your session to include dietary and lifestyle advice, menu plans, recipes and information sheets, as well as supplement recommendation if necessary.

Whatever you need, we’ll tailor a plan for you

No two people are the same. The plan is worked out with your own priorities and abilities in mind, to fit in with your lifestyle.

Nutritional therapy is not about forcing you to do anything you don’t want to do, but rather guiding you to a place of understanding, and motivating you to make healthier choices based upon your current needs.

How many appointments will I need?

Usually you will be asked to come back four weeks after the initial consultation so that your progress can be monitored and any changes put into place. Sometimes a treatment plan may need to be achieved in segments over a certain period of time, for example, four visits in a year. It really depends upon your health concern and what we are aiming to achieve.

Supplements and Tests

It may be suggested that you take some quality supplements for a specified period of time to re-balance the body. Only high quality supplements are recommended in order to affect change and to achieve the desired outcome.

Sometimes tests may be required for further investigations.

Tests available include:

  • Food intolerance testing
  • Stool testing for yeasts and parasites
  • SIBO tests
  • Salivary adrenal function test
  • Female hormone test
  • Male hormone test
  • Toxic metal profiles
  • Nutritional profiles

Additional charges apply for tests.
